We are Cornelia & Aðalsteinn.
We live on the farm Hjalli in northeast Iceland.
We have a campsite and a guesthouse.
We emphasize personal service.
About us
The name of our farm, Hjalli, means hillside and many places in Iceland have that same name. Therefor we wanted to have some unic name for our small business. We are using our initials and since C is not an Icelandic letter it’s easy to search for places in Iceland starting on that letter. You should have no trouble on all navigation tools to find CJA campsite or CJA guesthouse in Iceland. Many think that C stands for camping and A for appartment. That could also be the case but why J? We are heppy to share that Information with you in a chat – just come and stay.
possibilities / obtions
Campsite
It’s open all year. The only campsite in Iceland were all guests get private zone. All private zones are large enough to have at least one car and a tent in it, some larger. During the winter we only offer open gravel parking areas.
Sleepingbag accommodation
At our campsite we have one small Hut and one small Barrell. This can be rented as a private room to sleep warm and dry in any weather. The Hut is located on the campsite and the Barrell next to the campsites service house.
Guesthouse
It’s just a small house with only 4 rooms and max. 9 guests. Most part of the year we rent our individual rooms with breakfast but occasionally it’s possible to rent out the whole house and then without the breakfast.
